I can't believe that Easter has already come and gone. It seems as if it were just January and basketball was in full swing.
We had such a great Easter weekend. Friday night we went over to Justin and Janeil' s house for their neighborhood flashlight Easter egg hunt. My kids loved hunting for eggs in the dark. Who ever thought of that idea is genius. It was tons of fun! On Sunday we went to Jered and ShaRee's in the afternoon for food and fun with Debby. She put together 175 eggs for 11 grand kids. They were all over the place. We ate ham, potato's, rolls and ice cream. yummy, yummy!! The kids played their usual game of backyard baseball and there was the usual pouting, fighting and crying. Other than that, it was a good time. In the evening we went over to Glen & Gloria's for another egg hunt and more food. The kids got to decorate buckets before the fun began, but I have to say that this was no ordinary egg hunt. The big kids went in the front yard and the little kids stayed in the back and just had a free for all, but then....they dumped all their goodies in a trash bag to be sorted out evenly. Every piece of candy and toy was counted out before hand and written down to be remembered so everyone got the same amount and it was all even. I couldn't help but laugh. Gloria is to, to funny! After the hunt we went in and enjoyed tons of yummy food and a lot of good company. So much food in one day....I was a bit sick the rest of the night. Thanks to Jered and ShaRee for the use of your home, to Debby for the yummy ham and potato's and to Glen and Gloria for the cute decorating idea and unusual egg hunt. Holidays are always so much fun! It is just a great excuse to eat a lot of yummy food and hang out with family.
